Rouen Huskies add Jordan Chrystal, David Washington

Posted on March 12, 2011 by philipp

Two weeks before the start of the 2011 season in the French Elite League reigning champion Rouen Huskies announced the additions of the Americans Jordan Chrystal (picture) and David Washington. Chrystal is a 24-year-old left-handed pitcher from New York, who attended Monmouth University and played in the Continental Baseball League and the Frontier League in the past. He is scheduled to arrive in time for the Huskies games against the Montpellier Barracudas on April 10.

Washington is also 24 years old. The utility man played for El Paso in the American Association and was supposed to wear the jersey of the Canberra Cavalry in the Australian Baseball League as a teammate of European prospects Mariekson Gregorius and Donald Lutz. He was listed on the roster, but didn’t play in the ABL after being reassigned to the minors. He will arrive in time for opening day in France.
