Rouen Huskies add Aaron Hornostaj, Mark Terrana

Posted on April 2, 2010 by philipp

The reigning French champion Rouen Huskies has added two Canadian players to the 2010 roster. Aaron Hornostaj and Mark Terrana will reinforce the French Elite League club this year. They are joining Anthony Piquet, Mathieu Brau and Maxime Lefevre as new players. Nicolas Dubaut, Olivier Israel, Flavien Peron (all three to PUC) and perhaps also Dany Scalabrini have left Rouen.

Hornostaj is a 26-year-old infielder, who played seven seasons in the organization of the San Francisco Giants between 2002 and 2008. In 390 games, 27 of them in Double- and Triple-A, he batted .252 (OBP .324/SLG .320) with 170 runs and 156 RBI. He also played a few games for the Major League squad during spring training. Terrana is also 26 years old and a catcher, utility man and pitcher. The right-hander has played for the Gawler Rangers, Dundas Chiefs, the University of Waterloo and the Kitcher Panthers in the past.
