Last Thursday in Worldhotel Wings next to the international airport at 3 km from Rotterdam baseball stadium, South Korean Ambassador to the Netherlands H.E. Jonghyun Choe was the main guest accompanied by other diplomats and many business men. Rotterdam Partners delegation was headed by Mr Bart Brinkman and KNBSB mission consisted of Joost Comperen, Gijs Selderijk, Seb Visser and Paddy Roomer, responsible for Baseball means Business project.
South Korea presently is preparing World Baseball Classic poule A for participating teams from South Korea, Netherlands, Chinese Taipeh and Israel. In July South Korea will debut in World Port Tournament in Rotterdam and next year South Korea will host Olympic Winter Games. Port, logistics and industries in Rotterdam region attract many expats from South Korea, often accompanied by their families. Since 25 years a Korean school has offered wide education for nowadays 160 South-Korean children.
