According to a report by Baseball.it the best batter of the 2011 season in the Italian Baseball League could return to Cariparma Parma for the 2013 season. The 31-year-old outfielder Rodney Medina was supposed to play for Novara United this year, but dropped out shortly before the season started. However it seems that the Venezuelan is interested in an Italian comeback.
Meanwhile the report confirms that Leonard Zileri (expected to receive three-year contract with Telemarket Rimini), Riccardo Bertagnon and Stefano Desimoni won’t wear the jersey of the Angels in 2013. First baseman Alex Sambucci also is courted by Unipol Bologna. Daniele Santolupo could join Parma next year, helping to replace the hole in the outfield after the departures of Zileri and Desimoni.
