The Italian Baseball League club Montepaschi Grosseto has announced that outfielder/designated hitter Roberto Toniazzi and catcher Alessandro Galli (picture) will return to the team for the upcoming season. Both players are 34 years old and made their IBL for the Orioles in the 1994 season.

Toniazzi played for the lower-division clubs Rosemar and Arezzo after leaving Grosseto, before joining De Angelis Godo for the past two seasons. In 2009 he batted .193 (OBP .235/SLG .248) with seven runs scored and twelve RBI.

Galli played for the teams in Castiglione, Pescaia, Rosemar and Roselle City after 1995 until he returned to Grosseto in 2006 for three seasons. He didn’t play in 2009. He mostly was used as a backup, collecting seven hits in 45 at-bats in his IBL career.
