The Netherlands’ Sem Robberse, who pitched in this year’s MLB Futures Game, has been traded as part of the Toronto Blue Jays’ deal to acquire St. Louis Cardinals reliever Jordan Hicks, multiple reports have announced.
Robberse, who entered the season as a Top-10 prospect in the Blue Jays’ system, had been pitching at Double-A New Hampshire, but he will make the jump to Triple-A Memphis after the deal.
In 18 appearances this season, all starts, Robberse has compiled a 4.06 ERA, with a .213 BAA and 86 strikeouts in 88.2 innings.
