The tournament with the three teams, which have finished in places five to seven in the regular season of the Italian Baseball League, is split into three events over the next three weekends.

On Friday TELEMARKET came out firing, scoring eight runs in the first three periods en route to a 14-1 win. Mario Chiarini went five-for-five with two runs scored and five RBI. Filippo Crociati had three hits, three runs and three RBI. Mattia Campanini scored four times. Giacomo Meriggi scored the lone run for DE ANGELIS.
Sandy Patrone (RIM) allowed just one hit, a run and two walks in six innings, while striking out seven. Matteo Galeotti (GOD) was charged with eight hits, eight runs (6 ER) and two base on balls in four innings.
