On Monday Dutch right-hander Rick van den Hurk dominated in his second start in Nippon Professional Baseball. He faced the Nippon-Ham Fighters with his SoftBank Hawks and struck out 13 batters in seven innings, allowing two runs on five hits and a walk. He left the game with the Hawks trailing 0-2, but his offense picked him up with four runs in the bottom half of the seventh to give him his second win in as many starts. However since a blog post by Chris Kabout he still will be send down back to the farm team due to foreign player restrictions. Jason Standridge will take his spot on the roster.
