Dutch right-handed pitcher Rick van den Hurk is most likely back for a second season in the Korea Baseball Organisation (KBO). Jon Heyman reports that a new deal with the Samsung Lions has been agreed on pending a physical. In his first season in Korea the former Major Leaguer went 7-9 with an ERA of 3.95 in 24 games. He struck out 137 batters and walked 48 in 143 2/3 innings. He is the first European player in KBO. He won the championship in his first year, defeating the Doosan Bears in a dramatic Korea Series.
