Rogier van Zon of Honkbalsite.com reported on late Sunday evening that Richard Orman is back as active player in the Dutch Hoofdklasse. He celebrated his comeback with DOOR NEPTUNUS as designated hitter on Sunday against HCAW MR COCKER, the last day teams in the Netherlands could add players.
Orman was born on January 16th, 1969 in Aruba and came to the Hoofdklasse in 1993 as a 24-year-old left-handed pitcher. He spent 15 seasons with the PIONIERS and set an all-time record for wins by a left-hander with 123. He retired at the end of 2007 and became the pitching coach of KONICA MINOLTA in 2008, but didn’t return for the current season.
