RHP Lowuin Sacramento to pitch for CB Sant Boi in 2011

The right-handed pitcher Lowuin Sacramento, who pitched for the Spanish National Team at the European Championship in Germany and for the FC Barcelona at the Copa del Rey in Spain, is joining defending Division de Honor champion CB Sant Boi for the 2011 season. The 23-year-old was born in Venezuela, but has a Spanish passport. He signed with the Colorado Rockies as an amateur free agent in 2006. He pitched three seasons for Rookie league affiliates of the organization with an ERA of 3.00 in 40 games. He gave up one run on two hits and a walk in 2 2/3 innings through two appearances at the European Championship.
