22-year-old right-handed pitcher Daniel Klein transfers from the Mainz Athletics to the Bad Homburg Hornets. Limited to just two games in the top division in 2013 he makes the step in hopes of more playing time at the first level and due to working near Bad Homburg. While he allowed 11 runs (7 earned) in ten innings for the A’s in the German Baseball-Bundesliga, he had a 7-2 record with an ERA of 2.81 in the second division.
