The BERN CARDINALS are no longer undefeated in the Swiss NLA. On Saturday the ZURICH CHALLENGERS prevailed 12-7 in a slugfest in game one, ending the 13-game winning streak by the reigning champion. The CARDS got payback in the second match, winning 8-6 to improve their record to 14-1. On Sunday the THERWIL FLYERS and the LAUSANNE INDIANS, which are in second and third, swept their respective doubleheaders to make up a game each towards first-ranked BERN.
