The Swedish Elitserien featured three games of the Swedish Baseball Academy this week. The prospect squad had to settle for three losses. On Tuesday five Stockholm pitchers held the Academy to four hits in a 5-0 shutout. Justin Trejo had the most impressive outing, striking out all six batters he faced. One day later Kenta Sato homered, doubled and drove in six runs in an 11-1 victory of the Karlskoga Bats. The reigning Swedish champion scored ten runs combined in the seventh and eighth to seal the win. Paul Waterman struck out seven in three scoreless innings. On Thursday Gefle downed the Academy 13-6. League play in the Elitserien continues on Saturday with three doubleheaders.
