Results Spanish Division de Honor March 19&20

Posted on March 21, 2011March 21, 2011 by philipp

During the winter the Astros Valencia heavily improved an already strong team while holding on to key players. But was it enough to challenge the top teams for the championship? After four weeks in the Spanish Division de Honor the answer is yes. This weekend they made a statement, winning both games in Barcelona against defending champion CB Sant Boi, which was undefeated up to now. Two shutouts moved the Astros in a tie for first place, as CB dropped to fourth in the standings.

Among Valencia at the top are the Tenerife Marlins Puerto Cruz and the FC Barcelona, which dispatched San Inazio Bilbao and Halcones de Vigo in week four. All three have 7-1 records. Additionally Baseball Navarra made up some ground with two victories over the Sevilla Red Sox. Sevilla is the lone remaining winless team after CD Pamplona and CB Viladecans settled for the split in their twin bill.
