Results Spanish Division de Honor March 16&17

Posted on March 18, 2013 by philipp

The baseball season in Europe is underway. The Spanish Division de Honor opened its gates this weekend – a delayed start in comparison to previous years due to the World Baseball Classic (preview of the 2013 season in the Division de Honor).

Defending champion CB Barcelona had to settle for the split against the Tenerife Marlins on opening weekend. In game one Ricardo Hernandez returned to Spanish baseball with eight dominant innings, in which he allowed just three hits, two runs and seven walks, while striking out nine to lead Barcelona to a 5-3 win. In the second match Leslie Nacar, Javier Sanchez and Danny Morales kept CBB to three hits in nine frames for a 4-2 Tenerife win.

In other matchups CB Sant Boi swept CB Viladecans in an all-Catalonian duel. Baseball Navarra shared wins with the Astros Valencia. And last but not least CD Pamplona crushed El Llano to become the first top-ranked team of the season. San Inazio Bilbao had the weekend off.
