Results Spanish Division de Honor April 16&17

Posted on April 17, 2011 by philipp

In week eight of the Spanish Division de Honor the leading FC Barcelona didn’t stumble in Pamplona and swept its two-game series against Baseball Navarra to remain in first place. However runner up Astros Valencia maintains its one-game deficit thanks to two wins over San Inazio Bilbao. Meanwhile CB Sant Boi ended the seven-game winning streak of CB Viladecans, defeating their Catalonian rivals twice.

Sant Boi remains tied for third place with a 12-4 record, the same as the Tenerife Marlins Puerto Cruz. The Marlins picked up two more wins thanks to forfeits, as Halcones de Vigo didn’t make the trip to the Canary Islands. It is already the second time this has happened this year after the Sevilla Red Sox didn’t show up for their week-two matchup. Speaking of the Red Sox, they ended their drought to start the season in game two on Sunday, defeating CD Pamplona for their first win.
