Results Spanish Division de Honor May 22&23

Posted on May 23, 2010 by philipp

Not to take anything away from the other clubs, but since there are no playoffs in the Division de Honor it is safe to say right now that the Spanish champion will be either CB Sant Boi or the FC Barcelona. While leader Sant Boi managed 15-0 and 8-5 wins in Bilbao, Barcelona completed a season sweep over defending champion Tenerife Marlins on Saturday. This also means that Puerto Cruz is now seven games out of first place.

The FCB won game one 5-1 behind another strong performance of Delio Miguel Martinez, who issued just two hits, an unearned run and three walks in nine innings. Game two was decided in the tenth through a walk-off RBI single by Jorge Miqueleiz, who came out of retirement last week after most of the Barca infield is sidelined with injuries.

Short recaps on the ten games will follow on Monday
