The preliminary round at the 2011 Prague Baseball Week ended on Thursday with the Czech Republic winning its third and fourth games of the tournament. In the morning they defeated AIST (USA) 7-4 and in the evening they crushed the UCLA Alumni (USA) 14-3. Meanwhile Austria handed the Czech 18U Team its first loss of the week to improve to 2-2. Earlier in the day the 18U squad had defeated Poland. Slovakia secured second place in Pool B with a win over Lithuania. France had to settle for its fourth loss in four games. The playoffs start today with the Prague Baseball Week ending on Saturday.
