The regular season in the German Softball-Bundesliga ended last weekend, but the playoffs will not start until August 8th, as the national team traveled to Valencia on July 22 to play in the European Championships, which begin on July 27th and last until August 1st. In the north the Brauweiler Raging Abbots clinched first seed and will be joined by the Neunkirchen Nightmares, Hamburg Knights (defending champion) and Wesseling Vermins to take on the southern teams with first-ranked Mannheim Tornados, the Haar Disciples, the Herrenberg Wanderers and the Freising Grizzlies.

The standings in the south aren’t set yet, as the Freising Grizzlies could move into third place with three wins. However due to the European Championships it is not clear, when or if the games against the Mannheim Tornados, which were postponed on June 28, will be made up.
