The two Munich-based clubs in the German Baseball-Bundesliga continued to drive towards the playoffs on Sunday. The Gauting Indians extended their winning streak to eight games with a sweep over the Mannheim Tornados, which dropped from third to fifth in the standings. A few kilometers in the east the Haar Disciples beat the Mainz Athletics twice. Gauting and Haar remain tied with 8-6 records, but now for third place.

In the north the battle for fourth place also remains close, as the HSV Stealers and the Dortmund Wanderers each had to settle for splits this weekend. The three top-ranked teams all swept their doubleheaders with the Solingen Alligators maintaining their top position by outscoring the Cardinals 35-5 in Cologne.

More info on the games will follow in the upcoming days
