Solingen Alligators at Cologne Cardinals

It was not the finest hour for the BUCHBINDER LEGIONAERE on Sunday in the German Baseball-Bundesliga. After an embarrassing performance by the southern division leader in HAAR, the race for fourth place in the standings got interesting again. The DISCIPLES crushed REGENSBURG 9-4 and 10-0 (7). They are now tied with MAINZ in the win column and can book their ticket for the postseason, when the A’s lose both ends of their make-up doubleheader at home against the HEIDEKOEPFE next week.

In other games HEIDENHEIM secured second place in the south with two wins in GAUTING. In the north the CAPITALS defeated the STEALERS twice to move into sixth place. At the top SOLINGEN and PADERBORN each swept their doubleheaders on the road. The ALLIAGTORS won both ends of a twin bill in COLOGNE thanks to three homeruns by Matt Pali in game one and ten RBIs overall. The UNTOUCHABLES prevailed in PULHEIM.
