The highlight of the weekend in the German Baseball-Bundesliga occurred on Sunday, when Philipp Hoffschild and Rodney Gessmann combined to no-hit the Mannheim Tornados in a 17-0 shutout in eight innings. The only blemish was a walk in the sixth. However the Buchbinder Legionaere Regensburg couldn’t complete the sweep, as Mannheim recovered for a 5-2 win in game two of the doubleheader.
