Posted on June 13, 2010June 14, 2010 by philipp

The Buchbinder Legionaere Regensburg ended the club record eight-game winning streak of the Gauting Indians in the southern division of the Baseball-Bundesliga with a pair of wins on Friday and Saturday.

The Indians dropped back to fifth in the standings, as the Haar Disciples won one of two in Saarlouis and the Mannheim Tornados celebrated a road sweep in Mainz. On Sunday the Heidenheim Heidekoepfe needed extra innings in game two to complete a sweep against the eighth-ranked Neuenburg Atomics, which had forced extra innings in the ninth.

In the northern division the Paderborn Untouchables are back in sole position of second place after two wins over the HSV Stealers, taking advantage of a split by the Bonn Capitals against the Cologne Cardinals. The Cards won game two in extra innings. The Pulheim Gophers and the Dohren Wild Farmers settled for a split.
