We’ll be back with the usual recaps next week. This time results have to be enough. The German Baseball-Bundesliga played two game days last weekend, taking advantage of a national holiday. Just the Untouchables Paderborn and the Solingen Alligators survived the marathon with perfect 4-0 records. However they had to use later rallies to avoid losses. Both will meet in a showdown next Saturday.
In the south the Buchbinder Legionaere split their four games with the Heidenheim Heidekoepfe and the Haar Disciples. The top five teams in the standings remain within three games. Individual Nick Renault led Haar with a complete game, 12-strikeout performance against Regensburg. Trevor Howell of the Dortmund Wanderers hit four homeruns throughout the doubleheaders against Paderborn and Solingen.
