In the German Baseball-Bundesliga the Buchbinder Legionaere Regensburg returned back to the top in the southern division with a sweep against the Mainz Athletics. In game one Regensburg overcame a 0-4 deficit en route to a 7-5 win. In the second match they scored eight runs off six errors in the first two innings to cruise to a 12-6 victory. The team of head coach Martin Helmig claimed sole possession of first place also thanks to a split of the Stuttgart Reds against the Haar Disciples. Jonathan Wagner had a tenth inning walk-off double in game one, while Christoph Ziegler and Joshua Petersen drove Haar to the win in the second end of the twin bill.

The Mannheim Tornados took two games from the Tubingen Hawks. Cedric Desmedt pitched seven strong innings in a 5-1 win in game one. In the second match Spencer Kuehn had five hits, including two home runs, as well as 11 strikeouts in six innings on the mound to lead Mannheim to a 9-3 win. In the lone matchup in the north, Tucker White has seven hits, three home runs, seven runs and seven RBI in 9-2 and 16-3 victories of his Untouchables Paderborn over the Dortmund Wanderers. The games in Cologne and Solingen got rained out.
