In the German Baseball-Bundesliga the Untouchables Paderborn delivered the surprise of week six. On Sunday they defeated the Solingen Alligators in both ends of a doubleheader. Daniel Hinz hit a walk-off RBI single in in the ninth a 5-4 win in game one. In game two Maurice Bendrien drove in the go-ahead runs as Paderborn came back from a 0-1 deficit in a 6-1 victory. The Bonn Capitals took advantage and solidified sole possession of first place in the north with two hard-fought wins on the road against the Hamburg Stealers.
In the south four teams are separating themselves from the pack. The Stuttgart Reds, Heidenheim Heidekoepfe, Mainz Athletics and Buchbinder Legionaere Regensburg all celebrated sweeps. The Munich-Haar Disciples lost twice again and now already trail fourth place by six games.
