The Buchbinder Legionaere are no longer undefeated in the German Baseball-Bundesliga. On Friday the Mannheim Tornados celebrated a 7-5 win in eleven innings thanks to a two-run homerun by Dennis Kelly in the second extra inning. He already was involved in a triple play earlier in the game. On Saturday Regensburg came back from a 2-6-deficit to settle for the split. A few spots down in the standings the Gauting Indians are now tied with the Haar Disciples for fourth place thanks to a 3-1 win on Sunday. Johannes Jung hit a three-run homerun, while Dominik Hartinger went the distance. Game two was rained out.
In the northern division leader Solingen Alligators had to sit out, as their twin bill with the Pulheim Gophers got washed out too. As like in the south, the race for fourth place heats up after the Dortmund Wanderers won 10-4 and 4-0 in Hamburg against the HSV Stealers. Both teams now have seven wins.
