The MANNHEIM TORNADOS won both games against the SAARLOUIS HORNETS and extended their lead to a non-playoff eligible place in the standings to five games. The MAINZ ATHLETICS took over sole position of fourth in the south with a split against the GAUTING INDIANS, though both teams probably aren’t very happy about it. In the north the SOLINGEN ALLIGATORS won twice in Hamburg against the HSV STEALERS. The DORMTUND WANDERERS got payback for the two losses on opening day against the PULHEIM GOPHERS. The BONN CAPITALS and the COLOGNE CARDINALS had to settle for a split with game one going over 13 innings.
