Results French Elite League March 27

Posted on March 27, 2011 by philipp

The French Elite League opened the 2011 season this weekend. In a rematch of last year’s finals the Rouen Huskies and the Savigny Lions split a doubleheader. In game one the Lions dominated in all departments and came away with an easy win. In the second match Rouen avoided the sweep thanks to two runs in the bottom of the ninth. In other matchups Stade Toulousain easily dispatched the Montigny Cougars in both games to pick up first place after week one. The twin bills between the Montpellier Barracudas and the Templiers Senart, as well as Paris UC and the Pessac Panthers ended with splits.

More on all eight games in the coming days.
