Results French Division I April 1 & 2, 2017

In the French Division I opening day ended with the home team winning in seven of the eight games played. Only the Montpellier Barracudas lost to a road team, when the Savigny Lions prevailed 7-4 in the second game of the doubleheader. Game one went 4-2 for Montpellier. The Templiers Senart beat Paris UC 7-2 and 10-0.

Defending champion Rouen Huskies celebrated 11-1 and 17-2 blowout over the promoted St-Just-St-Rambert-Ducks. The second promoted club, the Montigny Cougars, swept Arvernes Clermont 6-0 and 3-2. Melissa Mayeux started at third base for Montigny in both games, walked five times and had a triple in nine plate appearances.
