DOOR NEPTUNUS solidified first place in the standings of the Dutch Hoofdklasse with three gritty wins against second-ranked L&D AMSTERDAM this weekend. On Friday and Saturday the club from Rotterdam prevailed 6-5, respective 10-8. On Sunday they completed the sweep with an 8-2 win. KONICA MINOLTA PIONIERS profited from the three losses by the PIRATES and closed the gap with a sweep against RCH MEDIA MONKS.
In the battle for fourth place only rain hindered a sweep by SPARTA/FEYENOORD over CORENDON KINHEIM or at least delayed it. ROTTERDAM celebrated road victories on Thursday and Sunday and hopes to win game number three on Tuesday, as rain forced them to reschedule it.
