In the Dutch Hoofdklasse the first playoff team is known. Curacao Neptunus Rotterdam defeated L&D Amsterdam 3-1 on Saturday after their 1-6 loss on Thursday to claim first place after the first half of the regular season. The second team will be known after a couple of make-up games, as contests between Rotterdam and Amsterdam on Friday and between Corendon Kinheim and the Vaessen Pioniers on Sunday were rained out and got rescheduled for Tuesday, June 2 (KIN-PIO) and June 9 (AMS-NEP).
The second phase starts at zero for all teams on June 11 and will determine the remaining two participants in the semi-final round robin. This past weekend Kinheim had won the first two games of their series against the Pioniers. HCAW won two of three against DSS. Additionally UVV celebrated a pair of shutouts against Mampaey The Hawks after their tie on Thursday. Next weekend will be without Hoofdklasse games due to the European Cup in Rotterdam.
