Posted on September 13, 2010 by philipp

The K. Deurne Spartans remain with one foot in the Belgian Series after a split with the Brasschaat Braves, solidifying second place in the standings behind the Hoboken Pioneers, which also split a two-game set with the Port of Antwerp Greys. One week is left on the schedule, as the Pioneers will meet with the Spartans, while the Braves and Greys square off in the other matchup.

Among the bottom three teams, the Namur Angels need one more victory to secure fifth place in the final standings after a split with the Mortsel Stars. On Saturday the Stars prevailed 11-7, while one day later the Angels celebrated a 13-0 shutout behind a gem of Cedric Desmedt.
