The Belgian First Division continued with game day number three on Easter Weekend. On Saturday, the Pioneers defeated the Royal Greys with 7-2, also thanks to a record 1000th strikeout by TJ Antonacci as pitcher within the Belgian competition. The young Greys not only outhit the Pioneers on Sunday but recorded by an impressive defensive performance the 3rd shutout by Robbe De Jongh. 11-0 in seven innings was the final score, keeping the Greys in 1st place in the Belgian competition.
In the other matchups the Brasschaat Braves’ offense erupted in a two-game sweep over the Merchtem Cats, putting 30 runs on the board, including a 19-5 rout on Sunday. The Namur Angels lost with one run on Saturday, before celebrating a 9-1 victory one day later. The promoted Borgerhout Squirrels improved to 4-2 with two wins over the Mortsel Stars.
