Update: Results Belgian First Division April 16&17

Posted on April 18, 2011April 18, 2011 by philipp

After two weeks in the Belgian First Division only one team is unbeaten.  The young Port of Antwerp Greys swept their two-game series against the Borgerhout Squirrels, with a real nailbiter on Saturday.  After having been behind the whole game, the Greys tied the game in the 9th, 5-5 and being behind 5-8 in the 11th, tied it again to finally win 9-8 by a walk off hit.  In the game on Sunday, Robbe De Jongh went for his 2nd shut-out of the season, 0-8.  The Hoboken Pioneers swept their two-game series against the Mortsel Stars. The Merchtem Cats settled for the split against the Deurne Spartans. Additionally the Namur Angels entered the win column with a pair of victories over the Brasschaat Braves.

An earlier version of the article mentioned Borgerhout splitting with the Greys. This was not correct. We apologize for the mistake.
