Results Belgian Baseball September 13/14

Posted on September 15, 2008 by philipp

The round robin phase in Belgian Baseball nearly is over. Only one game is left after the postponement of the BRUSSELS – SPARTANS matchup on Saturday. Both teams will meet again next weekend with the winner taking a spot in next year’s First Division. On Sunday K.DEURNE had won 7-2 against the KANGAROOS, tying them for second place in the standings. The third team with a chance before the start of the game day, the ANTWERP EAGLES, split their two-game series with leader CATS, ending their hopes for a promotion.

The Elite League completed the second round of the regular season on Sunday. Leader HOBOKEN PIONEERS won twice to finish with a 19-1 record. Runner-up ROYAL GREYS dropped their last game on Sunday, but remained in second. These two clubs will play for the Belgian championship in a best-of-five series in October.
