In the Austrian Baseball League the Athletics Attnang-Puchheim beat the Vienna Wanderers 5-4 in a rain-shortened five-inning game in a meeting between the two top teams in the standings. Game two was postponed due to the rain. Also the Stock City Cubs and Union Kufstein Vikings split a doubleheader and the Schwaz Tigers shut out the RiCo Highlanders.
