In the Austrian Baseball League the third game day was played this weekend. The Stock City Cubs are leading the league with a perfect 4-0 record. They beat the Vienna Wanderers twice on Saturday. In game two Seth Blevins struck out 13 in an eleven-inning complete game performance. The Cubs are followed by the Dornbirn Indians in the standings, which had to settle for a curious split. They lost game one to the Schwaz Tigers by a score of 0-30, but rebounded with a 4-2 win in game two. Adam Sowell highlighted the 19-run first inning in the first match with a grand slam, but had to take the loss in the second. Defending champion Vienna Metrostars split with the Vienna-Neustadt Diving Ducks. The GEI Athletics Attnang-Puchheim swept the winless Union Kufstein Vikings.
