Week five in the Australian Baseball League ended on Monday with a matchup between the Perth Heat and the Canberra Cavalry. After losing the first three games of the series, the Heat put their slump behind and routed the Cavalry 18-0. Eight runs in the eighth inning capped the offensive outburst. Tim Kennelly hit a grand slam and drove in five overall. Aaron Baker went 4-for-5 with two doubles, two runs and a RBI. Geoff Brown pitched 6 2/3 strong innings for his third win of the season.
