The 31-year-old Venezuelan right-hander Renny Duarte will join the Milan-based club Senago United for the upcoming season. The team, which is part of the newly founded Expo United franchise, is going to play in the Serie A of the Italian Federal Championship this year.
Duarte signed with the California Angels organization in 1996 and played affiliated ball for the club until 2000, climbing as high as Triple-A. He came to Europe in 2004, pitching for the Spanish Division de Honor club San Inazio Bilbao. He then moved on to the Tenerife Marlins Puerto Cruz, where he won four Spanish titles until 2008.
