Telemarket Rimini broke a 2-2 tie with a whopping nine-run rally in the seventh inning to avoid the sweep against Cariparma Parma with an 11-2 win. Josh Phelps, Filippo Crociati and Marco Baccelli combined for six RBI. Brandon Chaves scored three times. Parma had erased a 0-2 deficit in the top of the sixth. Starting pitchers Sandy Patrone (RIM) and Roberto Corradini (PAR) each gave up two runs (1 ER) on six hits in six innings for no-decisions. Chris Di Roma (W) received the win, Pedro Orta (L) the loss. The game was called in the eighth inning.

Edgar Clemente went deep and Unipol Bologna won game two of its series with Novara United 8-1. Juan Carlos Infante scored three times. Juan Angrisano reached base four times and drove in two. Cody Cillo (W) allowed six hits, a run and a walk in six innings. Yulman Ribeiro pitched the remaining three frames for the save. Alejandro Morese (L) issued ten hits, seven runs (5 ER) and four bb in 4 2/3 innings.

Unipol Bologna completed the sweep over Novara United with a 6-0 shutout in the evening game. Fabio Betto (W) went seven innings, allowing only three hits and a walk to pick up the win. Mattia Barbaresi and Mark Langone completed the three-hitter. Gabriele Ermini drove in two and scored twice. Julio Ramirez went 3-for-3 with a walk, a run and a RBI. Antonio Noguera (L) got the loss after 6 1/3 innings, six hits, five runs (4 ER) and six bb.

Danesi Nettuno – North East Knights 10-0 (7), 6-1

One day after Kris Wilson no-hit the North East Knights, Danesi Nettuno completed the sweep with a pair of wins on Saturday. In game one Jose Escalona (W) and Jose Estebin Cruz combined to hold the Knights to three hits and two walks in seven dominating innings of a 10-0 shutout. They collected twelve strikeouts. Mirco Caradonna went 3-for-4 with three runs and a RBI. Juan Camilo and Paolino Ambrosino had two RBI apiece. Salomon Marinez (L) struck out seven in four-plus innings, but also conceded five runs on seven hits and a walk.

In the second game Nettuno broke a 1-1 tie with four runs in the bottom of the seventh. Juan Camilo singled and scored the go-ahead run thanks to a pair of errors. Kelly Ramos followed with a solo shot and Mirco Caradonna with a two-run triple. Ramos singled in another run in the eighth to seal the deal. Renato Imperiali also went deep for Danesi. Mirco Zambellan drove in the lone Godo run with a RBI single in the second. Carlos Richetti (W) struck out seven in seven solid innings, giving up four hits, a run and three walks. Matteo Galeotti (GOD) conceded five hits and a run in five innings. Daniele Del Bianco (L) took the loss.

Montepaschi Grosseto – T&A San Marino 6-8 (11)

T&A San Marino won the rubber match 8-6 against Montepaschi Grosseto after scoring five runs in the second extra inning. Grosseto tried to counter in the bottom of the eleventh and cut the deficit to two runs on a two-out three-run homerun by Luis Perez. However a groundout ended the game with the tying run on first. Laidel Chapelli had two hits and four RBI for the Titans. Lorenzo Avagnina hit an inside-the-park homerun. Perez already had tied the game with a two-run single in the eighth, capping a three-run rally. Tiago Da Silva (SMA) gave up four hits, three runs and two walks in 7 2/3 innings. Riccardo De Santis (GRO) allowed five hits, two runs (1 ER) and three bb in seven innings. Gregory Palanzo (W) received the win, Junior Oberto (L) the loss.
