RIMINI turned a 1-4 deficit around and defeated NETTUNO thanks to two runs in the seventh by a score of 6-4 on Saturday afternoon in the Italian Baseball League. Mario Chiarini pushed the winning run over the plate with a RBI triple. He later also reached home on a RBI single by Eddie Rios. Rios and Lorenzo Avagnina had tied the contest in the fifth with RBI singles. DANESI led since a four-run rally in the third, where Juan Camilo and Dewis Navarro plated runs with singles and Giuseppe Mazzanti smacked a ball over the left field wall for a two-run homerun. Starters Chris Di Roma (RIM) and Yoel Hernandez (NET) allowed four runs each in five innings of rocky work. Buddy Bengel picked up the win, Carlos Pezzullo took the loss.

Mario Chiarini (2) and Danny Gonzalez provided the run support with RBI doubles in the fourth and fifth. Carlos Richetti got hit with the loss after six innings, six hits, three runs (1 ER) and two walks.

Daustin Nelson gave up four runs (3 ER) on 13 hits and a walk in seven innings for the win. Daniele Del Bianco didn’t register one out in the first, when he was replaced after five hits, six runs (5 ER) and a walk.
