Telemarket Rimini evened the series against Cariparma in the Italian Baseball League on Friday with a 5-1 win. Enorbel Marquez-Ramirez (W) issued just one run on nine hits and three walks in six innings. His battery mate Giuseppe Spinelli drove in two. Filippo Crociati and Lorenzo Avagnina scored twice. Danesi Nettuno overcame a leadoff homerun by Juan Carlos Infante and defeated UGF Bologna 3-1 on Friday. RBI singles by Manny Alexander and Renato Imperiali in the fifth got them the lead. Dewis Navarro added an insurance run, when he scored on a wild pitch in the eighth. Mark La Macchia (W) struck out ten in eight strong innings, allowing three hits, a run and five walks. Cody Cillo (L) issued six hits, two runs and two bb in 6 2/3 innings.

T&A San Marino only allowed an eight-inning single by Rolexis Molina on Friday evening in the IBL, but still walked away with a 1-2 loss against the Catania Warriors. The Sicilian team had taken a 2-0 lead in the opening frame thanks to a RBI fielder’s choice by Perez Rosario and a RBI groundout by Weltin Cabrera. The Titans got on the board in the seventh, when Giovanni Pantaleoni doubled and came around to score on a single by Riccardo Suardi. Yorkin Ferreras (W) struck out eight in 7 1/3 innings, allowing six hits, a run and three walks. Henry Bonilla (L) gave up no hits, two runs and five bb in six-plus innings.
Montepaschi Grosseto – De Angelis Godo Knights 3-1

Montepaschi Grosseto opened the series against the De Angelis Godo Knights with a 3-1 win. After Gary Burnham Jr. had tied the game in the top of the fourth, two runs by the Orioles in the bottom of the frame decided the outcome. Andrea De Santis scored the go-ahead run on a passed ball. Gabriele Ermini (2 RBI) added another run with a RBI single. Juan Figueroa (W) gave up one run on five hits in eight innings, striking out seven. Robert Palencia (L) issued three hits, three runs (2 ER) and six bb in five innings.
