Justin Fry struck out ten to receive the win. Pitching was absent in game two of the twin-bill as PUC won a slugfest by a score of 17-15. The club from the French capital already led 11-3 after three innings, but Montigny threatened to come back, cutting the deficit to 12-14 in the fifth and 15-16 in the eighth. Another PUC run in the ninth sealed the win.
The two-game set between the Rouen Huskies and Stade Toulousain had to be postponed, as the team from Toulouse couldn’t travel due the volcano ashes from Iceland. The Montpellier Barracudas had a bye in week two.
