Recaps: San Marino gets Payback with Walk-Off Win

T&A San Marino – Unipol Bologna 2-1

One day after losing in walk-off style, T&A San Marino won in its last at-bat against Unipol Bologna. Mattia Reginato plated the winning run in a 2-1 victory in the bottom of the ninth inning. Bologna had erased a 0-1 deficit with a RBI single by Takahiko Sato in the eighth. San Marino led since Reginato’s RBI single in the fifth.

Cariparma Parma – Telemarket Rimini 8-11

Telemarket Rimini remains among the top three in the standings, defeating Cariparma Parma 11-8 in a slugfest. In a back and forth battle the Pirates led throughout the entire contest. Max DeBiase and Riccardo Suardi combined for four Rimini RBI. Anderson Machado homered for the Angels. Osman Marval drove in three. Marcos Tabata struck out five in four scoreless innings of one-hit relief for the win.

Danesi Nettuno – De Angelis Godo Knights 10-4

Danesi Nettuno beat the De Angelis Godo Knights 10-4. Four runs in the first and five in the seventh blew the game wide open. Ray Sadler and Christophe Crescenzi went deep. Crescenzi collected four RBI overall. Santo Hernandez pitched five scoreless innings for the win. He struck out nine.

Novara United – Grosseto Baseball 5-1

Renny Duarte pitched seven innings of one-run ball to lead Novara United to a 5-1 win over Grosseto Baseball, their first of the 2012 season. Three runs in the fourth broke a 1-1 tie and decided the outcome. Ramos Martin homered for Novara. Riccardo Tavarnelli had a pair of RBI. Michael Smith got charged with the loss.
