In a make-up game of Saturday’s rainout San Marino scored seven runs in the first three innings en route to a 10-4 win over the Godo Knights on Sunday morning. They are now tied for first place in the Italian Baseball League standings. Ulrich Snijders hit a three-run homerun. Anthony Granato went 3-for-3 with three walks, two runs scored and a RBI. Gregory Palanzo received the win after five innings, seven hits, four runs and four bb. Matteo Galeotti took the loss, allowing six hits, seven runs and three walks in 2 2/3 innings.

Juan Carlos Infante cleared the Bases with a TripleBologna and Catania had to make up two games from Saturday. Fortitudo got most out of it, completing the sweep with two victories and tying San Marino and Rimini in first. In game one they prevailed 8-3 behind two RBIs of Stefano Landuzzi and two runs by Riccardo Fornasari. Yulman Ribeiro pitched six scoreless three-hit, one-walk innings for the win. Orlando Yntema struck out nine in 5 1/3 innings, but also conceded six hits, six runs (2 ER) and three bb in the loss.

In the afternoon portion of the doubleheader Bologna shut out the Warriors 8-0. Fabio Betto, Alessandro Ularetti and Fabio Milano combined to allow just four hits in nine scoreless innings to lead the way. Juan Carlos Infante went 3-for-4 with a bases clearing triple. Catania’s starter William Lucena issued eight hits, six runs and five bb in five innings.
