Rouen Huskies – Templiers Senart 3-1, 7-5

The Huskies improved to 6-0 in the French Elite League with a sweep over the long time rival for the champion from Senart. In game one Keino Perez won the pitcher’s duel against Samuel Meurant and led Rouen to a 3-1 win. Perez allowed just four hits, a run and a walk in seven innings. Meurant went the distance and issued three runs (2 ER) on ten hits and a bb. Aaron Hornostaj scored twice.

In the second game the Templiers had just taken a 5-4 lead on a grand slam by Ernesto Martinez (5 RBI overall) in the top of the eighth, when the Huskies answered by adding three runs to the board in the bottom of the frame, securing a 7-5 win. Kenji Hagiwara scored the decisive sixth run. Joris Bert crossed the plate twice for the home team. Hornostaj drove in two.

Giovanni Ouin picked up the win in relief of a strong Anthony Piquet, who had given up just two hits, a run and a walk in six innings. Cesar Quintero replaced Mathieu Brelle-Andrade in the eighth to close it out for Senart, but blew the save opportunity.

Savigny Lions – Montpellier Barracudas 3-16 (7), 3-2 (10)

Savigny and Montpellier were locked into two completely different games on Sunday. In game one the Barracudas had no problems at all with the pitching of Pierrick Lemestre, scoring five runs in the opening frame en route to a seven-inning 16-3 win. Thomas Langloys picked up the easy win on the mound. In game two Montpellier’s starter Joris Navarro dominated early on and his team led 2-0 going into the ninth, where the Lions were able to tie the score. They also avoided the sweep by winning 3-2 in walk-off style in the tenth.

Paris UC – Stade Toulousain 7-1, 4-22

PUC and Stade Toulousain split their twin bill. Paris won by a score of 7-1 in game one after a solid defensive performance. In the second match the guests from Toulouse produced run after run and celebrated a 22-4 rout. Both teams are now tied for fourth place in the standings with two wins and four losses each.

The Montigny Cougars had a bye in week four of the French Elite League.
