Sandy Patrone (W) allowed eight hits and two walks through seven innings, but held the scoreboard clean to lead Rimini to a 5-0 shutout on Sunday afternoon. Mario Chiarini hit a solo homerun and scored twice. Laidel Chapelli also crossed the plate two times. Lorenzo Avagnina drove in two. Panagiotis Sikaras (L) gave up nine hits, four runs (3 ER) and a walk in six innings. The game was rescheduled from Saturday evening to Sunday due to rain.

T&A San Marino won the rubber match of their series against UGF Bologna in the Italian Baseball League by a score of 6-4. They took the lead for good in the top of the sixth when Carlos Duran scored on a dropped fly ball by second baseman Livinsto Santaniello and a RBI single by David Sheldon. They added three insurance runs in the last two frames. Fortitudo tried to come back in the bottom of the ninth, but only was able to cut the deficit to two runs. Francesco Imperiali hit a solo homerun for the Titans. Gregory Palanzo (W) issued six hits, two runs and three bb in seven innings. Fabio Betto (BOL) conceded three hits, a run and a walk in five innings. Alessandro Ularetti (L) took the loss in relief.
Danesi Nettuno – Montepaschi Grosseto 4-3

Danesi Nettuno completed the sweep over Montepaschi Grosseto with a 4-3 win on Saturday night. They scored all four of their runs in the bottom of the fifth on four RBI singles by Manny Alexander, Lino Connell, Giuseppe Mazzanti and Dewis Navarro. The Orioles tried to come back in the sixth, but only managed two runs and left the bases loaded. Carlos Richetti (W) allowed five hits, three runs and a walk in 5 2/3 innings. Riccardo De Santis (L) struck out nine in eight innings, but also allowed four runs on ten hits.
Cariparma Parma – Catania Warriors 6-1 (6), 10-0 (8)

Cariparma broke a 1-1 tie at the right time and defeated the Catania Warriors 6-1 in the afternoon portion of the doubleheader. During the decisive five-run rally in the sixth rain first only stopped play and later the game. Manuel Gasparri had the big hit with a three-run double. Mihai Burlea (PAR) issued four hits, a run and three walks in five innings. He struck out eight. Marco Grifantini (W) picked up the win in relief. Orlando Yntema (L) allowed four hits, six runs and seven bb in five-plus innings.

Parma scored seven runs in the third on route to a 10-0 win over the Warriors in the night cap and completed the sweep. Massimo Pesci highlighted the rally with a three-run homerun. Alex Sambucci went 3-for-5 with three RBI. Marco Yepez scored three times. Roberto Corradini (W) issued just three hits in seven scoreless innings. Pedro Orta completed the four-hit shutout with a scoreless eighth. William Lucena (L) surrendered three hits, eight runs and three bb in three-plus innings.
