Telemarket Rimini celebrated the second shutout in two days against UGF Bologna and concluded the regular season in the Italian Baseball League with a sweep. Six runs in the sixth sealed the 6-0 win. Sandy Patrone (W) allowed just two hits in six scoreless innings. Riccardo Babini drove in two. Fabio Betto (L) issued three hits, a run and two walks in five innings.

Cariparma crushed De Angelis Godo with a 13-0 win on Saturday and is going to enter the playoffs as the top seed. Juan Camilo and Matteo Ugolotti went deep. Orlando Munoz went 4-for-5. Roberto Corradini (W) allowed just four hits and a walk in five scoreless frames. Matteo Galeotti (L) surrendered 13 hits, nine runs (8 ER) and three bb in 4 2/3 innings.
Catania Warriors – Montepaschi Grosseto 8-6

The Catania Warriors also stunned Montepaschi Grosseto on Saturday with an 8-6 win, completing the sweep in the three-game series. With the victory the Sicilian team left eighth place in the standings and moved past the Godo Knights into seventh. Five runs in the bottom of the sixth put the Warriors up in front. The Orioles tried to come back in the ninth, but a flyout by Andrea De Santis with two men on ended the rally. De Santis had homered earlier in the game. Weltin Cabrera hit a homerun for Catania. He and Giuseppe Sciacca combined for four RBI. Franklyn Torres (W) went the distance, allowing 13 hits, six runs (5 ER) and five bb, while striking out seven. He threw 147 pitches, 83 for strikes. Riccardo De Santis (L) gave up six hits, five runs (3 ER) and three walks in five-plus innings.

Danesi Nettuno avoided the sweep against T&A San Marino with a 14-12 win in a slugfest on Saturday. Manny Alexander (4-6, 2 RBI) and Vincent Parisi scored three runs apiece for the guests. Carlos Pezzullo, who started at DH and later pitched in relief, drove in four. Max De Biase went deep and collected four RBI. Tony Granato and Giovanni Pantaleoni went a combined 6-for-9 with six runs scored. Carlos Richetti (W) gave up eleven hits, eight runs and two bb in 5 2/3 innings, but still walked away with the win. Gregory Palanzo (L) issued eleven hits, nine runs and two walks in 2 1/3 innings.
